LEGOMEDIC launch symposium

« Microreactors and flow chemistry in fine chemical and biopharmaceutical research and industry »

An event of the University of Namur, the Graduate College of Chemistry (EDT CHIM) and the NAMEDIC research center.

In order to kick off the LEGOMEDIC project with a focus on its scientific and economic aspects, the consortium will organize a one-day symposium held at the University of Namur, which will include lectures from guest speakers from Belgium and other European countries, which will highlight the importance of microreaction technology for academic research and for the European chemical and biopharmaceutical industry.

The event will be held at the Faculty of Science of the University of Namur on 21st January 2013

The list of plenary lectures:

Prof. Volker Hessel
(TU Eindhoven, Netherlands and IMM Mainz, Germany)
The Interplay of Chemical and Process-Design Intensification in Flow
- Novel Process Windows for Future Chemical Manufacturing

Prof. Chris Stevens
(SynBioC, University of Ghent, Belgium)
Continuous Flow Opportunities for Reactions Difficult
to Scale-up

Prof. Ian R. Baxendale
(University of Durham, UK)
